Plastic mold injection molding is a processing method used for mass production of certain complex-shaped parts. The plastic mold consists of a movable mold and a fixed mold. During injection molding, the movable mold and fixed mold close to form the gating system and cavity. When opening the mold, the movable mold and fixed mold are separated to remove the plastic product.
Although the structure of plastic molds may vary greatly depending on the type and function of the plastic, the shape and structure of the plastic product, and the type of injection molding machine, the basic structure is the same. It mainly consists of: gating system, temperature control system, molding parts system, venting system, guiding system, ejection system, etc. Among them, the gating system and molded parts are the parts that directly contact the plastic and change with the plastic and product. They are the most complex parts of the plastic mold, with significant variations, and require high processing accuracy and precision. Gating system: refers to the part of the runner before the plastic enters the cavity from the nozzle, including the main runner, cold slug, runner, and gate.
